Hot Hot Hot, Ruby Red or Cranberry?

Hot Hot Hot, Ruby Red or Cranberry, you decide!
Another fall trend year after year that will never go out of style is becoming a Redhead. So a friend requested Bryce Dallas Howard's locks. We discussed her doing at home vs. having it done professionally. I convinced her it would last longer & she'd have a better result using professional color. Convincing wasn't hard to do when doing something so drastic.

Here's what we came up with:

This is where a professional photographer would have came in handy. Cell phone pictures really don't do the color justice, and the overcast outside didn't help. In person, the color is absolutely gorgeous! I made this "cheat sheet" for color application. The formulas I can't take complete credit for, I tweaked one provided by BTC. If you borrow my cheat sheet, please give credit where credit is due & link back to my blog.

Next, I applied Gloss of Redken Shades EQ 1 1/2 oz. 07C + 1/2 oz. 07CB + 2 oz. + Processing Solution for 20 minutes. This gloss ties formula A & B together, while sealing the cuticle & will help her new red hair last longer.

Doing your hair at home vs. having it done professionally.
Doing your own color at home pro- well the only pro is really the price.
Why is it better to have our hair done by a professional colorist?
- A colorist is trained in formulating color, rarely is a stylist throwing on a solid color, there's always a little bit of this & a little bit of that going in your color bowl.
- A colorist is trained in applying a variety of techniques to best show off colors in different hair textures and cuts.
- Professional hair color lasts much longer that a box color you can find in drugstores, we can control the amount of ammonia going into your hair.
-A guarantee, if you mess up your color at home, odds are you're going to come into a salon to have it fixed. A color correction always costs more than if you one have just got it done by a professional the first time.
- Last but certainly not least, no mess to clean up & more pampering!
